I do think this case matters for accountability. Brannon is a symbol of the worst of Trump : a slovenly guy who prides himself on his flouting of almost all the rules of protocol, constitution, good governance. He openly expresses his white supremacist views. If he conspired to overthrow the legal government of the US he must be held accountable.

This trial is absolutely critical to the rule of law in this country and our justice departments ability to thwart arrogance of criminals like Bannon. He needs to be made a strong example of Justice at work.

I think this trial is critical for setting the precedent for accountability. Without it, what is the Jan. 6 investigation? I'm hopeful that we may finally be entering a new era of accountability with this DOJ.

Steve Bannon is a very dangerous person and a traitor. Everything he has done so far points to his guilt.

If Steve Bannon goes to prison and is released within a short time, we are seriously f***ed!!!! He will definitely go back and plan the most dangerous and successful coup d’état. His demeanor shows that he is determined to do it. One can see the rage coming out of his eyes while he turned himself in.

Do you think this trial is important for accountability? Yes, this is a formal process. This trial will help to fully investigate and gather all the evidence which the jury will use to decide and to prove that Steve Bannon is a traitor. To be honest, to me, Steve Bannon is guilty and belongs in prison.

The question that I have is: what if Steve Bannon is found not guilty due to loopholes? What happens next? To me, not finding Steve Bannon guilty frightens me.

The next person to be indicted for January 6th should be Trump. Our democracy is on shaky ground

Hi Ari. After watching you interview with Bannon I am convinced that Bannon is very very clever and smart. Even if hes doing some jail time, 3 months or what ever , he is st;ill out there,, determined to use his money and other cult people to destroy our democracy. Very scary scary!

Ari, this entire Trump Era of Emoluments/Purjury/Subpoena Avoidance and Obstruction/Insider Trading/Exacerbated Covid Deaths/Coup and Cover-Up has greatly evidenced our two-tier Justice System. Of course, the trial is important for accountability. For me, no trial about failing to respond to a subpoena, will account for all Bannon’s ills of trying to overthrow this government. I’d like to know why he wasn’t arrested, immediately last Friday? Are further delays available to him? We know he loves attention-even if it’s negative. Can he be denied referencing the case in public?

Everyone involved should be prosecuted to the FULLEST EXTENT IF THE LAW! January 6th’s intent was worse than 9/11 as far as I’m concerned. & I am concerned!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 Blue is my favorite color! Biden is cleaning up the mess as best as he can! Go #46!

Yes it’s important for accountability. We are all accountable for our professional conduct. I think the cover up is possibly worse than the crime of insurrection. It’s gaslighting on a massive scale that plants seeds of doubt about reality and inspires conspiratorial craziness. Looking forward to his imprisonment.

Hi Ari! I absolutely believe a trial is necessary. Mr Bannon’s arrogance is despicable.

Of course this matters for accountability. Bannon’s behavior is that of an individual who has never faced a real consequence for his bullying defiance. This time things will hopefully be different. The DOJ should sink every legal tooth they’ve got deep into him.

Let’s see how long his bravado holds up.

I think Merrick Garland was most wise and dotted all of the i's and crossed all of the t's as Joyce Vance explained to us. I think this is an incredibly important first step to seeing a horrific period of our history made right. His mindless followers need to be removed from his "ample behind" and made to account. Of tremendous importance, the "orange one" needs to be disqualified or at least made aware that running for office, losing and protesting through his well set up voter supression network will ultimately not work although may cause loss of life from his hordes of protestors. Yes, two parties if working honorably and on behalf of their constituents is still preferred but seems increasingly unlikely as long as the blind followers do things like punish republicans for voting for an infrastructure bill which is so necessary for republican and democtratic health and well being in our country. Ari, please share your thoughts.

I just finished watching your 2018 interview with Steve Bannon. I couldn’t endure hearing him discuss his plans until now, as he truly terrifies me. Well done, Ari. He was falling all over himself trying to impress you. You controlled the conversation with this highly intelligent but possibly evil man; you heard him out but held him accountable for his words & actions. How do you do it? It’s as if you put up a protective shield around yourself when you meet with these powerful people who seem to be lacking in humanity. You shed light on their malevolence — and this makes it all less frightening. Thank you 🙏

Clearly this trial is needed for accountability. QUESTION: When will TRUMP be held accountable in the court of law? Yes-all of these ancillary people need to be held accountable, but it means NOTHING until Trump is taken down. Will Garland have the balls or is he going to cave to pressure to “let it go” for the sake of precedent?

Bannon wants to go to jail. He'll recruit inside. The right wants chaos in the streets, Bannon will work his mad will to help make that happen.

I'm generally a peaceful type, but this is a special occasion: Hang Steve B! Hang Steve B! . . .
