Oh lord Sandra O - I sometimes don’t watch Morning Joe until a few days in between. I am SO glad I watched this one. It had me in tears! The first one was the Senate Chaplain regarding the prayer he gave to open the Congress. He said he “went rogue” by saying something MUST be done beyond thoughts and prayers! What a well spoken intelligent member of the clergy that knows scripture, chapter and verse. He started the tears. The one I just watched was the video of the Nashville Police when they went into the school with a shooter inside. They showed the Texas guys the way it is DONE. But the video of them enter with no hesitation humbled me to my core. There are times when you think - do the Republicans truly have no heart?? It must be so as there is not a single thing that matters to them!

Trump has now finally crossed the Oedipus line - from civil to criminal charges for the first time in his life. He’s been able to avoid judgement and justice of his decades of lawless behavior. Not paying people. Committing lawless acts. And delaying, delaying, delaying . . . eureka! And during his term as president, he attempted to corrup and deconstruct various parts of the federal administrative apparatus, including the EPA and Dept. Of Justice. And others.

We had two successful wins on yesterday, Chicago and WI! “What has happened?” The ills of Faux News and social media. Both make it hard to shut down. You might throw in congress, who gets wined and dined—plus donations—not to legislate. THAT’s the problem, I believe. We might throw in getting a pass by the judicial system for bad acts…seemingly, that’s getting better. We need to keep winning, as a means towards correction.

Trump has now finally crossed the Oedipus line - from civil to criminal charges for the first time in his life. He’s been able to avoid judgement and justice of his decades of lawless behavior. Not paying people. Committing lawless acts. And delaying, delaying, delaying . . . eureka! And during his term as president, he attempted to corrup and deconstruct various parts of the federal administrative apparatus, including the EPA and Dept. Of Justice. And others.
Sadly, the Republican Party remains lemmings in their odd and sick loyalty to Trump. All at a cost to the American public/taxpayer.
While Trump isn’t the first dishonest President, he is moreover, the most shameless. His apparent and ever present ability to demonstrate his misogyny, narcissism, incompetence, cruelty and so on continue to shock. He does nothing or little to disguise or conceal these most distinctive and horrific characteristics.
Well, he now sits before us all. And with this and pending indictments, perhaps the truth will out. And perhaps many more people will come to realize who and what Trump really is, a pathetically sick and narcissistic evil man. Time will tell. Hopefully not too much time.

And therein lies the truth!! "No Republican group exists today"!!! That is about the only difference between Nixon and Trump--they were both scoundrels liars and cheats, but at least back then in Nixon's days there will Republicans with a conscience--not so today or if they do have a conscience they are the ones that are keeping silence so in a way they also are complicit!! Listening to Racheal and the gang argue about why SDNY and the Biden DOJ did not take up this case. On top of all they were saying I think it was calculous to let 2 different states to take a bite at the apple because if DOJ did it all, Trump could always blame the government or NY- spreading it out to regular the "jury of your peers" process, it is 3 or 4 separate absolutely different entities finding guilt and laying it bare. I also think the timing is right - even if it turns out the Special Counsel and fed case moves to trial faster, The Manhattan DA broke the ice and no supporters came to deal with the NYCPD! Now "we" know HOW to do it and keep it all very boring. ARREST & ARRAIGN! Who's next?
