Larry David and Jon Stewart on together would be a chart dropping fallback. Although including you Ari, that would be a lot of Jewish self deprecating humor 😎

Oh my gosh, this was a wonderful piece! I particularly enjoyed the AI addition to the conversation -- it certainly resonates and was spot on. Nice job with the conversation and your follow up here.

Too many gut-busting “Curb” moments to recount! The mounting tension as a totally predictable social faux pas approaches is so addictive. A favorite example: Larry’s use of the MAGA hat for personal benefit🤣 Merely hearing a few notes 🎶of the theme song lifts my Pavlovian spirits and puts a smile on my face and in my heart! Reruns will help to ease my sense of loss. LD = Genius!

Just a reply to your question about giving water to voters standing in line. That was an extremely rude and uncalled for "law" &/or "legislation".. where was it.. Texas or Florida? It should be as illegal everywhere to refuse water to anyone anytime as it is here in Arizona!! That so-called "rule" or whatever is disgusting!!

I can’t count the number of times I’ve blown past some acquaintance at the market when s/he tries to “stop and chat.” Side glancing as I slide by reveals a look of shock, disapproval. Then, feeling guilty, I assuage myself by rationalizing: Did I agree to meet this person? Did we have an appointment? No and no. This is business. I’m here to shop. So by what rule am I obliged to stop and chat? And then I saw Larry on Curb raging against the “stop and chat”. He gave me courage and burked the guilt. Forever grateful.

Well done once again Ari. Was hoping some would have been taped so we all could share the evening with you, but once again your writing makes me feel as though I had a front row seat. Thanks Ari. 🙌🔥🤷🏼‍♀️

your instructions to AI alone were fascinating, much less the reply. very interesting, as was the recent NYT article about Larry David/Curb's being a supreme comedy of manners. enjoy your work, Ari

Nailed it, as usual. Larry’s “Joyous pessimism” makes it easier to cope with life’s events; that’s likely why his humor resonates with so many of us.

"His willingness to breach these norms - to say what we dare not say - is both cathartic and humanizing — a reminder that behind the facades of propriety, we are all Larry David in some measure: awkward, uncertain, and striving for connection in a world that often makes little sense.” WORD👏🏾👏🏾

I gotta say i was surprised by the depth of the response generated by AI; but then i saw the prompt and was like- ah ha! Guess a great prompt might elicit a less-robotic response; who woulda thunk it? 😊 A favorite episode (of many) is season 6 re Larry's so-called 5-second rule and all the mishaps/misunderstandings over "LD's" apparent inability to curb his own enthusiasm! 🤣😂 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' is definitely worth watching over and over again. And, even though David may not like it, we say a fond farewell. #byeLarry💙

My husband has many real moments that make me shake my head and say, "Ok LD...."

He also has a friend who has similar moments and I call him "LD2". They keep me laughing in spite of myself. Gotta love an LD even when you want to smack em.

This was such a fun read!! How much fun for you! I relate to many of Larry’s shows, wearing the red MAGA hat as a repellant (I will point to my earbuds and watch while on my walks so I don’t have to stop and talk 😂)

I am guilty of the ‘Irish Exit’ from weddings or parties ( when I’m done, I’m done)

I love how you used AI and explained how you used it! Amazing! I’ll be reading this all over again!

terrific piece on david which hard to tell whether ai or ari addressing us. in either case, agree on take

given for what david's comedy is all about. one typo though: thought or though or thoughts, i forget. "what the world needs now is " humor, to coin a lyrical phrase. thank you larry! and ari!

Ari, first and foremost, do appreciate your show, your explanations of all things legal in everyday layman’s terms in addition to the “fallback” sessions. Thank you for being the voice of reason and rationality at a time, our political and social discourse is so lacking this. - Fred
