Thanks to your reporting, I now know how difficult it was to get this case to trial. You have a wonderful way of breaking everything down and then explaining each section. Thankyou for your expertise. Anne Piscioneri

Ari is an expert at explaining so many details of all these cases. That's why I began to rely on his expertise when I want to get the accurate information on any topic he is discussing.

I agree! Ari reports/explains issues in laymen’s terms without telling us how to think.

What about the local law enforcement officers who saw no crime? Are they going to be held accountable by the Georgia State Police? Seems they are accessories to the crime after the fact by ignoring what happened?

Amen, more accountability!

Albaiza, there really wasn’t a crime, as we came to know it, until heat was applied to Roddie. His lawyer thought it was wise, to publish the recording, to exonerate him. What they thought might be eventual fodder (the recording), became the linchpin to their demise. Couldn’t have written a better, dark sequel to “Dumb and Dumber.” Unfortunately, Mr. Arbery lost his life.

In contrast to the Rittenhouse verdict, today’s verdict gave me cautious relief. This verdict is sending a clear message that archaic citizen’s arrest laws are dangerous. But I’m afraid that the verdict isn’t going to stop those who value citizen’s arrest and open carry laws, both of which perpetuate racism. Through the entire process, this case demonstrated how racism is very much alive in our communities and judicial system. We have so much work to do. But the work to reform on a societal level, policing level, and judicial level seems so overwhelming.

It’s a good thing the Mom did not give up!! We would not have this Justice!!!!!

Ari: God love ya! Keep up the great work. We, (husband & I) just finished watching Netflix 2019 - WWII in Color series, roughly 11 episodes documenting the rise of Nazi Germany. Roughly the 8 - 9th Episode quoted the German Make Germany Great Again programs, the plan to repeat lies over and over until people just began to believe them, and several other Trump processes. I'm sure you can present MUCH better than I am presenting to you. Marilyn

It does seem a playbook from Nazi Germany Trump’s messaging. Within government supporting the repeated lies and distortions Yes history reeling it’s ugly messaging It’s why we must move swiftly find a way to stop those individuals who stall and use different means to deter accountability. Who erode the process to fact finding and use our Democratic process to poison our system of government Many believe for a number of reasons -primarily finding individuals to blame and fear Another big ploy in Nazi Germany causing hatred murder and dehumanizing those involved and victims Resulting in cruel actions such as torturing and extermination as a norm. Extreme actions beyond what one can recognize as “human “behavior losing sense of values empathy and civility becoming normalized. It slowly invades and then reaches a point of a society capable of the actions and behavior exhibited in Nazi Germany. The warnings are in the present from the horrors of the past. Caution and alarming The media not presenting criminal case against Trump and progress. When Bannon was not required to pay bail but walk. When media speaks of Trump free and running in 2024 . I ask those wiser then me How Can This Be ???? Am I missing something! Why those who have committed actions of treason walking free- the leaders the instigators ? Those who stormed our capital held accountable I feel time is of the essence Please address my concerns as I try understand!

Justice !a good message Obvious the motivation to their actions Very heartbreaking that a man was jogging and ambushed murdered. Different judge from Kyle

Racism is alive and showed its ugly head again by the killing on a black man jogging in a neighborhood where the wind blows white. These men claimed that they were defending themselves but after the jury saw the video again, there was no way that a threat had been made by the victim. I pray that this verdict sends a message that crime does not pay and that all three defendants convicted receive life in prison without the possibility of parole. An innocent life was taken away because of the color of another person skin. As for Rittenhouse, his trail maybe over for now but he has to face a higher power who sits high but looks low. There will be no escape.

Perhaps you’re right. Heard he visited Mar-a-Lago. He’s a smug kid, enjoying the ride-he thinks…

Is this a tipping point for “citizen’s arrest” laws? More broadly, are we facing a reckoning about white people gun culture? Are we moving away from tacit acceptance of people who only feel safe when they know they are a danger to others?

This verdict begs the questions, perhaps unfair, were the prosecutors more skilled in this trial than in the Rittenhouse outcome, is it about jury selection, region of the country? And if there’d been no video recorded, what then?

In my opinion, Linda was eons sharper than Rittenhouse’s prosecutor, who kept me screaming at my tv all day.

I didn’t watch, but the excerpts I heard between the prosecutor and judge in the Rittenhouse trial were chilling.

Yes, I agree with the title of the last paragraph: Two trials and Two Americas.

Upon every effort made to hide this crime (not showing the video of Ahmaud’s murder till days later, Jackie Johnson protecting Greg McMichael so that he is not held accountable), justice prevailed! Thank God for the protests that made the video available, prayers of the black pastors and other people that prayed over the case and the verdict and for the jury to make the right decision based on all evidence. I will also give a ton of credit to the prosecuting team (the lawyers closing statement was on point and well thought out).

I am happy that this GA case ended with a guilty verdict unlike the other case in WI (I will not say his name). This restored my faith in our Justice system a little bit but a lot of work needs to be done because clearly America is a tale of two countries. Will Smith said, “Racism Is Not Getting Worse, It’s Getting Filmed”.

Happy Thanksgiving, Ari! Cheers😃

I was relieved when the verdict came in. At last! My question is, can the local police and officials who tried to cover up the murder be charged in the State of Georgia. What remedy would there be for their lack of action?

Have a great Thanksgiving. I think we’re all grateful for you, Ari!

It’s unconscionable that the original prosecutor wasn’t going to press charges. Thank goodness one of the defendants was stupid enough to record the murder. That prosecutor should be brought up on charges of criminal contempt and negligence, if there are such provisions. And that racist attorney should be disbarred.

I worked in a criminal courtroom for years. Just when you think you'd heard and seen it all...you hadn't. Stupid paid my mortgage for a long time.

My initial reaction to the WI verdict was focused on the burden of proof of an affirmative defense in that State and the relative skills of the two teams of lawyers. Some days later I realized that the jury asked to be shown certain videos which I had not seen. I'm still at a loss to understand how Rittenhouse was not guilty of something, but perhaps the prosecution didn't focus on the right charge, or there is something in those videos that shows that the claim of self defense was not completely unreasonable.

It was a wonderful story of a mother's love and determination for justice for her youngest child. Thank God she accomplished her mission, and kept her promise to Ahmaud.

Finally able to breath…what a huge relief….brilliant prosecutor, dedicated and attentive jury keeping faithful to their duty to follow the evidence and the law.

So grateful on the Thanksgiving Day that these delusional men who did not hesitate to terrorize this young man…a young adult my own kids’ age…were held accountable for their barbaric murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

Last Thanksgiving Day, I flew to Georgia to volunteer, on the ground, to educate voters about the runoff and to campaign for Senators Warnock and Ossoff….spent time in Brunswick while residing in Savannah and Atlanta, working for Georgia Dems and meeting Georgia voters….the privilege and honor of my life to meet these remarkably devoted Americans…Georgia voters saved our democracy on January 5th, and this Georgia jury gave us much needed hope as we work to rev ourselves up to advocate against Voting Suppression, Election Subversion, and to stop the Intimidation of Poll Workers and Elections Officials…we needed this boost…BADLY!!!!

Praying for Ahmaud’s family and friends, praying he can now Rest In Peace, praying America can rally around this just result, praying for the safety of civilians minding their own business in the presence of reckless, racist vigilantes or peace officers who mistake traffic stops, or petty crimes as capital offenses….NEVER AGAIN….🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏿

Hi Ari! Happy Thanksgiving

I watched your report yesterday regarding this case. I was appalled to hear how there was a potential coverup. I assume that Atty lost her license?

It’s so disturbing to me that our country hasn’t come far enough when it comes to race.

I was happy to hear the verdict of guilty
