So many of you are back East, it would be great to see you all! If they plan another, I’ll come, but must plan my mode of travel.

Were the Ds to recruit at least 5 or 6 Rs, they could nominate and elect Liz Cheney as Speaker of the House. She'd be expected to remain true to her conservative values, but importantly could also be counted on to support democracy with a small "d."
She could model her caucus along the lines of Abraham Lincoln's "Team of Rivals," thereby offering old school Republicans an off ramp and moderate Republicans a seat at the table including plumb committee assignments.
Finally, Joe Biden would have someone with whom he could negotiate with in good faith. He, Liz and Chuck would have two years in which to demonstrate what a properly functioning democracy looks like. Now what could be more bipartisan than that?
