I didn't watch any news show last week except The Beat. I'm so tired of listening to pundits making lasts week's elections the end of the Democrats. So glad you explained things so much clearer. After the bill passing on Friday/ Saturday I'm not losing faith that they can get their message out to the voters. Your show was wonderful tonight. Starting with the Big Bird drama was really funny. You interview with professor Dyson was eye opening, loved his last word, "Thanks Ari for holding up the blood stained banner of truth". Which you do every night. Thanks for keeping us informed and making us smile.😀 God bless you!!!🙏

Ari as usual you're right on top of the situation that's why I watch you every night regardless. You cover the subjects very well and quite thorough and your Love of music and all of your guests are great. As far as the article I could go on and on but I don't have time. I'm sure there will be a day that I put in lots of $0.02 on different subjects but until then thank you and keep up the great work!

PS the open carry in New York is a subject on the table right now and that one is one if you cover I will get in on trust me.

Ari, you are far more capable of parsing issues than even our local media here in Minneapolis. More! More!

Sunny Day

Sweepin' the clouds away

On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get?

How to get to Sesame Street 🐥

Ari thank you for bringing the humor to the doom and gloom politics of our nation. I really don't know how you report such constant stupidity everyday. I would have to decompress! Maybe we all should spend a little time where the air is sweet. Stay safe stay well.💖🦋

I was one of those that thought that not passing the build back better bill might cost Democrats during this past election but that is not true. Once I saw the VA and NJ maps and Governor races during the first presidential year starting from President Bush Sr., it made sense so excellent point on that!

This year, it is different from the usual trend that you pointed out, Governor Phil Murphy will remain the NJ Governor😃

Apart from the VA and NJ gubernatorial elections, there were other local offices that had good wins on the Democratic side like Mayor of Boston (a woman), Mayor of NYC (another African American after the late Mayor Dinkins) so it is not all bad for Democrats😃

As far as the woke culture goes, I feel like being well informed about racial discrimination and social injustice issues are not being used to improve on racial issues instead it is used by the right wingers as weapons.

What happened in VA is exactly what I expected. We were warned that historically this probably would happen. Still not an easy pill to swallow. It’s so frustrating to watch Democrats consistently miss it; miss calling out the lies, miss clearly disseminating their message.

Now to go completely off topic. Ari, I must take issue with something you said last night on your show. Big Bird is the only one (besides us) who CAN see Snuffy!

After reading other comments, I feel a bit of relief. Others are voicing my concerns. I am so exhausted listening to the media, and yes MSNBC, spewing “what is wrong with the Democratic Party”, “Biden is a loser”, and excessive coverage on Trump Trash.

Thank you. It appears that you are exhausted too.

Thanks for clearing the fog in our politics, especially now when we are subjected to word games and pretzelled news. The elections went as expected, Democrats should keep their eyes on the ball and tell friends and family about the progress being made. It is real !!!

I wish the republican's would spent as much time on solving issues as they waste on coming up with stupid schemes and stalling on voting. Not to mention picking on Big Bird & mean spirited B.S., & lies about Dem and the Corvid shots. Grow Up al ready.!!!!! Love your show Ari & wouldn't miss it. See ya tomorrow QT..

Ari- thank you for being the voice of reason. The day after the election I did not watch any cable news shows, until it was time for The Beat.

Maybe the 24hour a day news cycles have to create crises when none really exists. Good points Ari as always

I really hate the word woke so so much. It has been co-opted, kidnapped, stolen, etc.by so-called conservatives to demean and denigrate. It's the same with cancelled, which I also hate and they use it over and over and over to negatively attach it to the Democrats. In the VA election, they did that with CRT. They bogeyman that word to death and for many in White America, it easily scared them. That was the point. Many of them can't even tell you what CRT is and don't know that it wasn't being taught. Woke politics is the new identity politics and yes it's being used by the GOP to shore up anxiety. We have to be real and honest about this. It doesn't mean we don't fight for social justice and criminal justice reform, it just means we need to be prepared for the talking points that get way more media coverage than it should.

I dislike communicating with words. Every time I think I can take a words vow of silence, blop. You are the blop. I started enjoying this feeling with you during the afternoons of lockdown. When the news sucked but was it going to be your question? your comment? your smile? What would make me blop today.

Then you took my breath away. You had a great guest on that for what ever reason wouldn’t follow you beat. He blurted out the fact that you were Jewish. You reacted in a language I had never heard and did not understand.

I have been invited, welcomed and truly blessed to experience many religions, cultures and traditions. I only have one experience to share and it didn’t happen until I was in Seattle and supporting afternoon Muslim prayers at my church. A gentleman I would consider my elder out of respect, walked down a line of supporters and stopped in front of me. His voice was loud and everyone could hear but he was pointing his finger and speaking directly to me. He questioned where had I been and then began to repeat that line with different circumstances the Jewish community had experienced. I responded as honestly as I could, I had never been invited.

My church leader, my local Representative. a Muslim church leader and a Jewish leader coordinated a community meeting shortly after. At that time two mass shootings gad occurred. One at a tree of life place of worship and then a Muslim place of worship. It helped start a conversation to support each other. It also showed how to leave space for others to share information, experiences and concerns we were not familiar with. I didn’t leave thinking there was a place or a way to look into being Jewish and it seemed all the events they had were private. Other religions I could look into and join by attending Sunday service. I felt comfortable to take a seat, listen and follow along. I figured there had to be a place I could at least show up to on Christmas and sing along!?

The only thing I know about Jewish people is Jesus was one and Hitler didn’t want to and/or couldn’t compete with them. Adam Sandler skits and songs on Saturday Day Night Live and dates that pop up on my calendar. And now you defending yourself when called out on being Jewish with words I would love for you to translate if you remember please.

I love your music knowledge and enjoy listening to you academically describe definitions and meanings. It was finding out you were Jewish that took my breath away and is a completely unknown missing piece in my life.

If you ever feel like sharing more than just the good Jewish food, I would be very interested. Please don’t make it too factual like stuff I can research in an encyclopedia. I know why I haven’t been recruited. Is there a way, for a single female, that lives in Seattle, whom wasn’t born Jewish, to visit, learn and possibly be “baptized” if it’s a religion I choose to live my life with?
